Josh and Lisa Duvall

Look at the smiles of this happy couple.

Lisa's bridal bouquet contained blue hydrangea (gorgeous), pruple spray roses, majolica spray rose and blue delphinium.  Not really visible in this picture are some sweet stephanotis but you can see them in a picture coming up.

Beautiful bride.

Lisa had a large bridal party of 10 bridesmaids.  The bridesmaids bouquets contained light blue hydrangea, blue iris and  majolica spray rose.

There are those sweet stephanotis in the brides bouquet.

One happy bride!

Vases with submerged Babies Breath for the front of the church.

The wedding reception was held at the gorgeous and historic Temple of Performing Arts downtown Des Moines, IA

The bridal party were real troopers.  The weather was warm and humid.  I think it was in the 100's on the day of Josh and Lisa's wedding.  This was in the trolley that took them from place to place for pictures and transported them to the reception. Still have a few smiles left.

lommis Wedding

Brides bouquet of Blizzard roses, purple dahlias, green mini hydrangeas, soft pink roses, green hypericum berries and purple phaleonopsis orchids.
Beautiful bride in the doorway of the historic church that is under renovation in Des Moines, IA The Kathedral at 901 19th St.

Another angle on the brides bouquet.  I loved this bouquet.  The purple dahlias were so gorgeous and the orchids, amazing.
The bridesmaids each wore a different color.  Purple, green and orange, so for their bouquets we used white blizzard roses and mini green hydrangea, ti leaves and ribbons that coordintated with their dresses.

Groom and groomsman wore white roses with green hypericum berries. A little added touch of the green hydrangea for the groom.
Centerpieces were simple and organic,  River rock with minis green hydrangea and a white rose simply placed in the vase.  Perfect touch for the room.
Brides and their shoes.  Love them.

I put this photo in because I love this pose.  So romantic.  I know, I am a hopeless romantic and I wouldn't change that at all.

White Roses sumberged in vases were placed every where on the platform of the sanctuary along with bunches of votive candles, of course.

Early Spring Wedding at the Hy-Vee Conference Center

This wedding had the most amazing details.  Where ever you looked Cindi's theme and colors were carried out to perfection.  It was truly a feast for your eyes.
When I deliver a wedding I am looking for that look on a brides face.  You know the one where her eyes are taking it in and she get that smile on her face that says "You heard me, you knew exactly what I wanted and more."
Absolutely my favorite part of the day.

Cindi held the ceremony and the reception in the same room.  Beautiful, right.

Tall centerpieces with white hydrangea and purple carnations.  The long hanging pieced are white demdrobiums that we strung and attached to ribbon that was used through out the room and added a single glass tear drop to for just a little something special.

Brides bouquet with brooches.

Cindi and her bridesmaids being cute.

Prom 2013

PROM
I always enjoy prom.  So much glitz and glam.  Amazing dresses and tuxedo's. It is all such a blast and so much fun for a florist. I get to use many elements that are not for everyday and so much fun. Feathers, rhinestones, beads, bracelets that are just gorgeous.  Oh, I love it all.  This is the first installment of prom flowers with several more to come.  I was just going to do one but I just couldn't pick a favorite out of all of the great photos I have and besides you can never see to many pictures of flowers.  At least I can't so sit take a minute and enjoy the first post of Prom 2013.
